Dear Brooklyn Park Community Groups & Non-Profits:

The 45th Annual Tater Daze Festival theme is Rockin’ by the River. The 2009 festival dates are June 18-21. Our goal for Tater Daze is to highlight the amazing things our residents and community organizations do each and every day. We need you and your involvement–you are what makes our city a unique and great place to live, work and play.

There are many opportunities to be involved in Tater Daze from running the beer garden, hosting an event,

having a food or game booth, providing volunteers, running the raffle, coordinating the geo caching event, or even just sharing information in your newsletter. If you have suggestions or ideas for your group please contact us; you are our community so we need and appreciate your input!

We are giving community groups and non-profits the first opportunity to commit to running an area; after the

The deadline for your proposal to run a beer garden, event, games or food booths are January 31, 2009. We are limiting the amount of food booths to no more than 10 this year. We would be happy to meet and discuss with your group the requirements for any of these areas before our due dates.

If your group is selected for an area that requires permits or licenses, the deadlines will be March 31, 2009 for an alcohol or gambling permit and May 15, 2009 for a food permit. If you have any questions please contact Brenda Reeves, 2009 Tater Daze Chair, at 612-819-1662 or Denise Rene Wollenburg, Special Events Coordinator, at 763-493-8154.

We look forward to receiving your input!

Sincerely,

deadline dates we will be opening up these activities to other vendors. Community groups are able to run an area for up to three years before it comes open to any other groups. If more than one group is interested in an area and can meet all requirements, all their names will be placed in a hat and one pulled out. Your group will be required to have a representative that works with the Tater Daze Team.
